The sophisticated atmosphere features mauve walls, pale brick, mahogany-wood accents and dressed-in-black staff. A gently lit, well-designed layout with themed areas including a Southern-style Mint Julep Lounge with rattan furniture, upstairs Scotch Room with leather chairs, and the downstairs late night lounge. Customers, ranging from 20- to 40-somethings, watch sports on a flat-screen plasma TV. Specialty drinks include pint glass-sized mint juleps, plus there's an excellent scotch, wine and draft beer selection.

Valet parking is available for $6 beginning at 7pm nightly. There are also numerous garages and lots in the neighborhood.

The appetizer menu is sorted by room, but order whatever you want from wherever you're sitting. Try creamy jalapeno-crab dip and cayenne french fries from the Julep menu. Mini-burgers come three to an order: The Martini Lounge boasts a version called "The Caprice." Don't miss the Scotch Room's tangy and dense crab-stuffed crimini mushrooms

Happy hour is 5pm-9pm, Monday-Friday, when food and drinks are $1 off and low-key live bands play selected evenings. Beer Tuesdays offer $1 domestics and $2 import drafts
