Tucked just below street level on Beacon Hill's picturesque brownstone-lined Charles Street, the Hungry I is charming and intimate. Although small, it is quite cozy and very romantic. This restored 1840's brownstone has three small dining rooms complete with fireplaces and polished antiques. The mood lighting is from the glow of the candles on every table.

It has been said that there have been more wedding proposals here than anywhere in the city.

The Hungry I has been a destination for both romance and traditional French gourmet food for decades. As you look around the restaurant, you will see that the exposed brick walls are adorned with beautifully framed oil paintings, and delicately embroidered throw pillows are scattered amid upholstered banquettes that adds to the warm intimate atmosphere.

During the nice weather, you can enjoy a romantic dinner on the outside vine-covered patio. This is romance at its best!
