Promising "Spring Break 52 weeks a year," this
multilevel drinking destination attracts young,
hormonally charged students, especially during
weekly Wet T-shirt and "Buff Body" contests.
Red Sox game days find a slightly older crowd
filling the circular booths (each with a personal
TV) and tables on the outdoor patio. Service
is provided by well-intentioned waitresses clad
in jeans so tight, they look tattooed on.
Tequila
Rain offers an endless number of activities for the
easily distracted. After filling up on Tex-Mex food
and drink (smoked chicken quesadillas and frozen
margaritas), many patrons stare intently at sports
events on the city's only triple high-definition
video wall. Others fill a subterranean dance floor
regularly packed with energetic souls bouncing along
to DJ-spun tunes. The Taboo Lounge attracts those
looking to unwind, and students looking for a friendly
game of pool
The slushy margaritas (there are 16 frozen drink
machines) look tantalizing, but these watered-down
drinks aren't the most cost-effective way to
imbibe. Budget-minded buzz hunters should stick
to mixed drinks
Forget about driving when the Sox are playing
across the street. Take advantage of valet, offered
Wednesday through Sunday nights for $8.
