Restaurateurs Mary-Catherine Deibel and Deborah Hughes opened UpStairs on the Square in 2002, building on their 20 year success at UpStairs at the Pudding. They have created a "casual haute cuisine" menu in the Monday Club Bar, where guests can enjoy Deborah's award-winning design, two fireplaces and sweeping views of the Square all day from 11:00 to midnight.
The UpStairs Soirée Dining Room, reminiscent of a glowing and colorful jewel-box-like supper club, is lit with the flicker of working fireplaces at each end of the room. This main dining room is clearly an heir to the celebratory dining room at Upstairs at the Pudding and serves a Executive Chef Steve Brand's fine dining menu that is both artisanal and sexy-with seasonal and local ingredients beautifully prepared and served. Due to the more limited capacity of the Soiree Room, you must call or email the restaurant after you place a reservation to get a table there: info@upstairsonthesquare.com.
Private Party Facilities: Upstairs on the Square hosts premiere private events. Specializing in highly personalized, beautifully orchestrated events of all sizes. The design of the two tiered restaurant, which is set in a historic Harvard clubhouse, has been acclaimed in local and national press for its beauty, charm and originality. There are several complimentary dining rooms, all light filled, vibrantly colored, and decoratively painted (with countless stripes limit of gold and copper leaf and lavender suede banquettes), to host events from 15 to 200. |
