The Food
The menu covers the width and breadth of New Orleans' Creole classics, with a few modern twists. Starters include traditional oyster soup and mushrooms Veronique (mushrooms stuffed with grapes and Boursin cheese), while entrees run the gamut from Creole crab cakes to sauteed sweetbreads with port-cream reduction and crawfish tails. The house variation of shrimp remoulade (shrimp Arnaud) packs a substantial horseradishy wallop. The veal Wohl gives a taste of savory veal Chantal in wild mushroom sauce along with a diminutive yet flavorful crab cake and crawfish tails in brandy-lobster sauce. Silky creme brulee is fragrant with French vanilla
