Big
Time Brewery & Alehouse has been in business
in Seattle's colorful "U-District" since
1988. We are a classic American Alehouse located
in an old yellow brick building with high ceilings
and lots of stained wood. The pub has an antique
bar, an extensive bottle and can collection, numerous
historical brewery photographs, and lots of old
beer signs and trays. Music is provided by a 100
disc CD jukebox with an eclectic mix of artists.
An original 1950's era shuffleboard in the back
room gets plenty of use.
Big
Time usually has at least 10 ales on tap, plus
on Thursdays and Fridays we feature a cask conditioned
"real ale" on the handpump. Our standard
brews; Prime Time Pale Ale, Atlas Amber Ale, Coal
Creek Porter and Bhagwan's Best IPA are on tap
at all times. The other three taps and the cask
conditioned pump rotate from week to week with
some of the many specialty beers we produce over
the year.
The
kitchen features pizza, sandwiches, chili, soup,
salads and changing daily specials. We serve generous
portions at very reasonable prices. Food is available
until 11:00 pm
In Short
Nestled on the south end of the Ave, Big Time's
antique bar, vintage beer signs and wood floors
give it a turn-of-the-century feel. A steady flow
of all stratum of UW affiliates circulates, from
coeds to profs. Safe college standards play on
the jukebox. Ten of their own brews are on tap,
with selection varying depending on the season,
and the student-priced menu is stocked with standard
pub fare: pizza, sandwiches and salads.
Save Money
