The bright room offers a boatload of island atmosphere:
an original tin ceiling, old-fashioned marble
bar, vintage light fixtures and gently swaying
potted palms. Big red booths and an open dance
floor encourage socializing, while a dark alcove
above practically mandates canoodling. Cocktails
are a mix between new concoctions and old-fashioned
recipes like the El Floridita--a.k.a. the original
daiquiri--made with Bacardi white rum, Maraska
maraschino liqueur and fresh grapefruit and lime
juice
