Poco is inspired by our favorite wine bar, Vino Manzanita, located in the city of Manzanita on the Oregon coast. We wondered why there was no similar wine bar in Seattle - simple, elegant, warm & inviting. On the drive back we conspired, & by December 05 the decision was made to open our own wine bar on Capitol Hill.

Poco is a true wine bar - it's neither a restaurant nor a cocktail lounge. You'll find some lovely wine & some tasty food, but just as important you'll find Poco designed to be a warm, intimate, & comfortable place to meet friends, lovers, or just hang out at the bar after work and chat with the staff. A good wine bar has a special groove, a feeling you don't get anywhere else

In Short
A small space with a soaring ceiling and generous windows, this friendly hangout combines a special coziness with striking notes of artistry. Upstairs features low, comfortable couches while downstairs is built around a curved wood bar. The wines are limited to boutique northwest selections, and change every few months--trust the staff for great recommendations. The generous canapé plate makes a tasty meal for one; follow up with a not-too-sweet cheesecake or warm chocolate cake.

What to Drink
Tthere are plenty of interesting local choices at great prices. Be willing to experiment with unfamiliar varieties and discover a new favorite.

Parking
Street parking is quite limited in the neighborhood on most nights. Enter the nearest pay lot at 13th and Pine.

Happy Hour
Happy hour features bargain food and wines between 4pm and 6pm daily
